The ARP ODYSSEi app for iPad/iPhone brings the legendary ARP sound to the iOS platform. It faithfully reproduces the iconic analog synthesizer, the ARP Odyssey, which has cemented its place in music history since its release in 1972. Developed by KORG in 2015, the ARP ODYSSEY is a complete replica of the original instrument and has been widely acclaimed. Now, the ARP ODYSSEi app allows even more musicians to easily access this unforgettable sound on their devices.
Using KORG's proprietary CMT circuit modeling technology, the ARP ODYSSEi app faithfully recreates the analog feeling and sound of the original ARP Odyssey. The app also introduces several enhancements that are only possible with software, including long-awaited polyphony and built-in effects. This evolution of the classic analog synth ensures that the universal fascination and unique sound of the ARP ODYSSEY can be enjoyed by everyone.
Alongside faithfully reproducing the circuitry of the ARP ODYSSEY, the ARP ODYSSEi app offers new features to create unique ARP sounds. These include a voice assign mode for playing chords, a detailed arpeggiator resembling a step sequencer, and various effects to transform the sound.
The app also provides access to three sought-after versions of the ARP Odyssey: the standard Rev3 design, a white-paneled Rev1, and a black-paneled gold silk-screened Rev2. Additionally, fifty new preset sounds take advantage of the distinctive filters found in these different models.
For those looking to produce music, the ARP ODYSSEi app is compatible with KORG Gadget, an award-winning music production DAW app. By installing both apps, users can utilize the "Lexington" gadget inside KORG Gadget for seamless integration.
